Debut of IFA in China enables local audience to closely experience the charm of world cutting-edge technology

At noon of December 17, 2015, IFA and IDG jointly held the first press activity since IFA entered China. IFA is one of the biggest and most influential international audio-video and consumer electronic product exhibitions in the world, and CE China,an exhibition brand under IFA that received great support from the Shenzhen municipal government,will be held in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on April 20-22, 2016,. 

IFA joins hands with IDG and makes debut in Shenzhen, China 

Initiated in the early 20th century, IFA has a history of more than 90 years as of today. It is one of the biggest and most influential international audio-video and consumer electronics product exhibitions in the world, and the preferred exhibition for European consumer electronic product purchasers, wholesalers and retailers to know about and purchase the newest products. 

IDG is the largest company in the world engaged in information publishing, research, exhibition and venture capital. Zhu Dongfang, Vice President of IDG China, said on the press activity that IDG as the global strategic partner of IFA jointly organizes CE China with IFA in hope of building a professional platform for China that convenes the top consumer electronic brands and products in the world to display the most advanced technology innovation and products. 

The event under great support from the municipal government of Shenzhen has an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, which makes it the foreground of the industry’s attention. 

The Smart World Pavilion lights up CE China 

Pavilion #3 themed “Smart World” is a highlight on CE China. Its exhibition ranges from smart hardware and smart accessories, to semi-conductor and APP World. Among them, the smart hardware section will showcase the hottest wearable devices, robots, unmanned aerial vehicle, smart automobiles and smart devices of the Internet-of-Cars. The smart accessory section includes peripheral products of mobile phones, computers, hi-fi equipment, earphone and portable power, which are upgraded, more intelligent, and will appear in brand new look. The semi-conductor section, made up by necessary components of the smart hardware and smart accessories, will focus on latest developments in fields of liquid crystal, projector and battery. Because hardware can neverbecome truly intelligent without the support from software, the APP World section through the display of smart software application completes this splendid show of an intelligent world. 

In addition, Pavilion #2 and #4 will exhibit pioneering consumer electronic products including robot technology, family entertainment, audio entertainment, personal and business media, telecommunication, component technology and home appliances, which will make this exhibition a grand gathering of consumer electronics and home appliance brands. 

A trade gala gathering channel buyers 

The launch of CE China was attributed to the tremendous success achieved by IFA, its business idea of a home appliance expo, and its close relationship with the consumer electronics and home appliance industry and channel partners in China over the years. 

According to Mr.Jens Heithecker, Managing Director of IFA and Vice President of Messe Berlin, the debut of IFA in Shenzhen, China received full support from Alibaba, Gome and many other Chinese retail companies. The global channel buyers from these companies and retail groups will visit CE China, which will raise the professional standard of this expo and allow exhibitors to reach their global-wide retail network. 

Complete coverage by global top-tier media 

Apart from theactive participation by channel buyers, media coverage is another highlight of CE China. The event is expected to attract journalists from more than 300 trade media and retail media from over 50 countries, including daily newspapers, weekly publications, web media, magazines, TV and radio broadcasts, to make sure the product information stay in the center of public attention. Meanwhile, the IFA Global Press Conference scheduled on April 17-20 in Hong Kong and Shenzhen will go one step further to promote this expo. With extensive coverage on global top-tier media and thanks to the powerful marketing tools, the exhibitors will see their products shining under the spotlight. 

The Memorandum of Understanding signed by Guo Limin, Director of Shenzhen Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and Dr. Christian Göke, CEO of Messe Berlin in September 2015 stated that CE China will become the “primary” consumer electronic and home appliance trade exhibition for brands from China and the rest part of the world will showcase their latest products.
